I have to say that this is a great shot sheet of quick, well-thought insights from an industry expert in a very easy to read manner. I have read a lot of FileMaker manuals and "How To" books.

What makes this book different is information on the proper way to use FileMaker. This book puts Filemaker features in a context. There is information on proper design. If you want to shorten the learning curve to a successful application this is the book you should buy.

I'm new to the FileMaker platform, and have already learned so much by going through Richard Carlton's video training series. I decided to pick up a hard copy of this book because it seemed to match where I was at from an experience-level standpoint.

The book is a nice of blend of technical concepts, e. Richard has likely saved me countless hours of tedious work, I look forward to continuing my work in FileMaker and expect to one day become a "FileMaker Jedi.
